Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign 2026
SSR Innovative Foundation conducted a series of Breastfeeding Awareness Campaigns across four locations in Assam during World Breastfeeding Week 2026 (1–7 August).
The awareness programmes were held at the following locations:
- Hatigaon Tea Estate, Kaliabor, Nagaon – 5 August 2026 | 12 participants
- Khring Khring Village, Hojai – 2 August 2026 | 16 participants
- 404 Anganwadi Centre, Khanapara, Kamrup Metropolitan, Guwahati – 5 August 2026 | 13 participants
- Rohali AAM, Nauboicha Block, Lakhimpur – 5 August 2026 | 18 participants
A total of 59 participants took part in these awareness sessions.
The programmes were held at Khring Khring Village, Hojai; Hatigaon Tea Estate, Kaliabor, Nagaon; 404 Anganwadi Centre, Khanapara, Guwahati; and Rohali AAM, Nauboicha, Lakhimpur, reaching a total of 59 participants.
The sessions focused on early initiation and exclusive breastfeeding, maternal nutrition, appropriate complementary feeding, and the importance of family and community support for maternal and child health.
The Foundation sincerely appreciates the valuable support of health workers, Anganwadi Workers, ASHA workers, ANMs, community representatives and volunteers in making the campaign successful.
